Old Norwood Police Cells.

This lock-up was built in the township of Norwood, approx 8km west of here in the 1800's. It was subsequently relocated to Pentland around 1885 with the establishment of the railhead and remained in use for almost 100 years until the present police facilities were build.

The cells were shifted from the Pentland police yard to 42 Main St/Flinders Hwy, in May 2000 for restoration and public display of memorabilia and other historic items associated with Pentland and District.

The cells shifted to present location in July 2021.
